Practical Progress Towards Gender Equity
in The Banana Industry

In December 2015, women representatives from civil society organisations in the four major banana exporting regions of the world, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America, met to develop a strategy towards gender equity in the industry.

The presentations from this meeting have been summarised, along with updates on work, in a short publication ‘Practical Progress towards gender equity in the banana industry’.

En diciembre de 2015, representantes de mujeres de organizaciones de la sociedad civil de las cuatro principales regiones exportadoras de banano del mundo, Asia, el Caribe, África y América Latina se reunieron para desarrollar una estrategia de equidad de género en la industria.

Las presentaciones de esta reunión se han resumido, junto con las actualizaciones sobre el trabajo, en una publicación breve ‘Avances hacia la equidad de Género en la industria bananera’.
